This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Ag Women’s Summit.
Badgerland Financial, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and UW-Extension put on this two-day event which was held at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. Myself, along with three other young ladies active in the Collegiate Farm Bureau were sponsored by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
On Friday, the summit started out with the enthusiastic keynote speaker, Paul Wesselmann- “The Ripples Guy”. He spoke to the group about managing time, stress and all of the crazy things that go along with life! Then, we broke out into sessions taught by various instructors. You could attend sessions about financial statements, social capital, fitness, time management, farm safety, farm arrangements, tax and farm records, social media or community development.
The night wrapped up with entertainment by Piano Fondue, a piano duet who entertain the crowd with songs by request.
Saturday came with more breakout sessions, and the summit was concluded with Kevin Hall. His speech was centered around how your life can be transformed through the powerful use of words.
It was an amazing couple of days and I can’t wait for next year!
